Biokineticist
Enhancing individuals’ physical well-being and overall quality of life by optimising their body mechanics thereby fostering a more functional, independent, pain-free, and enjoyable lifestyle.
What is a Biokineticist?
A biokineticist is a healthcare professional who specialises in exercise and physical activity as a means of promoting health, preventing diseases, and rehabilitating injuries. They use movement and exercise science principles to assess, treat, and optimise physical function and performance.
A biokineticist, also known as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), enhances individuals’ physical well-being and overall quality of life by utilising scientifically-based exercises as a therapeutic tool. Every patient undergoes a personalised assessment, leading to the prescription of preventative and/or rehabilitative exercise programs. We maintain a comprehensive referral network and collaborate closely with doctors, physiotherapists, and specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
Biokineticists operate within a professional alliance with health and medicine and is officially recognised and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
