Home Based-Rehabilitation
Home-based biokinetics sessions integrate personalised exercise programs into individuals’ homes, promoting independence and improved physical well-being by designing easily performed exercises tailored to the home environment and individual needs, aiming for long-term adherence to exercise routines and sustainable health outcomes.
Discovery Vitality Fitness Assessment
Comprises of two components: one assessing cardiovascular fitness and the other evaluating strength and flexibility. Its goal is to provide an individualized and precise insight into your fitness level. Following the assessment, a thorough review of your scores is completed and we offer guidance on cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility goals to enhance fitness. You can earn up to 10,000 points based on your chosen assessment and current fitness level, contributing to your yearly cap of 30,000 fitness points. The assessment typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes. The cost is R533.60 which is paid upfront. Members with a Discovery Health Plan with a Medical Savings Account and available funds, you can claim the full amount back from the Scheme. It is recommended that, for purposes of completing the assessment, members wear workout attire and comfortable running shoes, avoid strenuous exercise and large meals beforehand, and have their medical aid card/number on hand.
